Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility criteria to apply for a Korean government scholarship are:
- All international candidates except Korean citizens.
- To apply for Master’s degree program you must have; a bachelors degree
- You can be eligible for a PhD degree program if you are under 40 years old.
- The PhD applicant must hold a Masters degree or equivalent.
- The Research Program applicant must receive an invitation from the partner universities.
- Good physical and mental health candidates are eligible.
- If you already got a Korean government scholarship, you are not eligible to apply.
Financial Benefits
The scholarship covers the following financial benefits
- The settlement allowance after the entry of the candidates in Korea is 200,000 KRW.
- Airfare tickets for the candidate from the home country.
- The monthly stipend of 900,000 KRW for the Degree program.
- The research allowance for the students is 1,500,000 KRW.
- For Liberal Arts and Social Science, the scholarship covers 210,000 KRW per semester.
- For Natural Science and Engineering, the scholarship covers 240,000 KRW per semester.
- All degree program fees and tuition are covered by the scholarship.
- A one-year Korean language program fee is also covered by the scholarship.
- Medical insurance is also provided.
- You get Korean Proficiency grants of 100,000 KRW per month.
- The research support fee is also provided.

How To Apply?
Apply for a Korean Government scholarship, their government are two ways to apply. You need to apply through the Korean Embassy in your home country or Directory of the domestic university of Korea. In both cases, you need to provide all the attested documents and submit them before the deadline. When you apply through the embassy, the applicant can be eligible to apply to 3 universities, but when you apply directly to the university, you can apply to only one university.
